Disclaimer

fafinance.xyz publishes a net worth calculator and personal balance-sheet reference for informational use. The output is mathematically trivial but the editorial content is informational only and not regulated financial advice.

Last updated:

1. Editorial accuracy

The calculator implements addition and subtraction, verified by inspection. Cohort-benchmark figures are sourced from ABS, Federal Reserve SCF, and ONS public datasets, refreshed annually after each agency's release.

2. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, fafinance.xyz disclaims all such warranties.

3. Not regulated financial advice

The named reviewer is a CPA Australia member operating a fee-for-service personal-finance coaching practice. The practice is not AFSL-licensed and explicitly does not provide regulated financial advice. The site does not recommend specific investment products, insurance products, super funds, or platforms. For regulated advice, consult an AFSL-licensed adviser. Verify any Australian adviser via ASIC's Financial Advisers Register.

4. Cohort benchmarks are statistical, not personal

The age-band median figures published in the cohort context are statistical aggregates. Where you sit relative to your age band median is informational; it has no normative implication and does not measure your financial wellbeing or trajectory directly.

5. Asset valuations are user-provided

The accuracy of net worth depends entirely on the accuracy of the user-provided asset and liability figures. Common sources of overstatement: real-estate values from automated valuation models, vehicle values from retail (rather than private-sale) listings, investment values quoted at gross rather than net of capital-gains tax. The calculator does not validate your inputs.

6. Limitation of liability

In no event will fafinance.xyz, its editors, contributors, hosting providers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to one hundred Australian dollars (AU$100).

7. Third-party content

References to ABS, Federal Reserve, ONS, CPA Australia, ASIC, Microsoft Excel, Google AdSense, and other trademarks are for identification only.
